The Team

Drucilla Richards brings a depth of hands-on principal real estate experience to her work as an executive search professional.

Drucilla Richards’ understanding and knowledge of the real estate industry is as keen as her understanding and knowledge of the executive search business.  She has years of institutional-quality real estate transactional experience as well as 15 years of search experience, the combination of which is uniquely powerful in delivering search results of unparalleled quality.

Before entering the search business, Dru held senior capital markets and investment banking positions at Trammell Crow Company, Trammell Crow Residential, Morgan Stanley and Legg Mason.  She began her career as a construction lender at Citicorp Real Estate.

Dru’s 15 year body of search work has been across all functional disciplines and asset classes for a loyal cadre of premier real estate clients, including Gables Residential, JBG SMITH, AvalonBay and Regency Centers, among others.  Compelling aspects of her work include:  institutional-quality execution, premier client service, small assignment load by choice, and measurement of success, not by the number of searches she has completed, but by the tenure of those people she has placed.

Dru’s search work has been executed from TCAP Associates, which she and Clara Kim co-founded in 2006, and from Equinox Search/Partners, where she was a Managing Director.

Dru holds an MBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and a BA in economics from the University of California, Irvine, where she played women’s varsity tennis.

When not searching for the elusive puzzle piece----the perfect mutual fit between candidate and job opportunity---Dru enjoys the outdoors, reading a great book, and best of all, watching one of her two sons play baseball.
